Slow Shutter

Using shutter speed to 1 minute even 1 hour on film media will not bring any effect on image quality, provided that the camera does not flinch during the shutter open. However this is very different in today's digital age. Electronic properties of the CCD or CMOS sensor is one problem. The longer the sensor is active, the more noise is generated. This is a difficult thing to be avoided. At the instant the shutter is working on top of 1.3 seconds, the noise generated will look to dominate the picture. Until now, solutions are in use actually has not been thoroughly eliminate this noise. Solutions in use today is add a black mask on the photo is cropped to patch the white dots, known as dead pixels. Noise will be active when you activate the "Noise Reduction" menu on your camera. Use of this masking will feel when you do the Slow Shutter, your camera will do the double exposure after one image is completed in the record. Therefore, to take pictures with digital cameras and slow shutter, Do not be surprised if you get noise will be quite noticeable, even at the lowest ISO though, if the noise looks minimal, and certainly some of the details that you want may be quite reduced.

I hope to share some of this useful for understanding the art of photography enthusiasts.
And I hope his comments.
